About Ordering on the Online Store

Q1I have not received the order confirmation email
A Your devices’ security system may block the email from us. Please check your security settings and make sure you could receive the email from @horikin.co.jp.
Q2Does Shizendo offer gift wrap?
ASince our products are materials, we are generally unable to offer gift wrap.
Q3Does Shizendo issue receipts?
AWe do not issue a receipt for credit card payment. Please keep the bills issued by your card company as your receipt.

About Shipping

Q1How long would it take for the orders to be shipped?
A We will ship your order within two business days if we have the items in stock.
Regarding the arrival date, it would take
◉For customers in Japan;
- When home-delivered: 1-2 days
- When shipped through posting service (Yu-packet): 1-3 days
◉For customers overseas;
- 3-7 days.
Q2Can I track the shipped parcel?
A Yes. We will notify you by email when we ship your parcel, and you can click on your tracking number to view its status.
Q3Do I get to choose the delivery method?
AA. For domestic shipping, we use home-delivery services and Yu-packet. Depending on the price of your order, we may switch the Yu- packet to home-delivery, having you bear the postage fees of 360 JPY. Please check the delivery method and expected arrival date with the “Your Order is Shipped” email.
Q4Two parcels have arrived separately at different times.
ADepending on where the products are shipped from (the factory or the retail store), your order may arrive separately. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
Q5Do I get to designate the arrival date and time?
AWe are very sorry, we are unable to offer options for the arrival date due to the function of the systems.

About Payment

Q1The payment has been charged to the credit card before the parcel arrives.
AYour order is charged on the day you make the order. If you are on an island or abroad and it takes a few days for the parcel to arrive, your payment might be charged before it gets to you.
Q2The price before modifying my order is charged.
AIn case there is a change in the price, the differences will be calculated and cancelled out later. Please do not worry.
Q3Does Shizendo offer tax exemption for the purchases?
AFor shipment overseas, the consumption tax will not be charged.
10% (8% for food) is exempted at the time of settlement.
Q4Can you issue a certificate of origin?
AIf you would like to request a certificate of origin, please contact

Q5What is Customs Duty?
ACustoms Duty is the tax charged with the imported goods and is generally charged to the customers of the imported goods. Value-Added Tax is usually charged in the country where the goods are consumed.
Q6How much does Customs Duty cost?
AIt depends on the countries. Please refer to the HS code of the items you purchased and check with your local Customs Duty office.
Q7How can I pay the Customs Duty?
AThe delivery agents would pay the duty on behalf of you. Please directly pay them back when the parcel has arrived.

About Returns, Replacements, and Cancelling of the order

Q1Can I request the return and replacement?
A In case there were damages or flaws on the items you purchased, or the different items arrived, we offer return and replacement. Please read through our Returns Policy and contact us through the Returns Form. We are unable to offer returns and replacements for your personal matter.

Q2The colour of the item was different from what I thought it would be.
AAlthough we try our best to minimize the gaps between the images and the actual product, your screen conditions may affect the images that reach you. In such a case, we are unable to offer returns. We appreciate your understanding in advance.
Q3Can I cancel or modify the order?
A Generally, we do not accept cancel or change after the order, however, if the items are not shipped yet, you may cancel your order through the Returns Policy.

Q4What happens to the Customs Duty when returning?
ASince Customs Duty is charged in your own country, please order the refund by yourself. Please contact your local Customs Duty Office.
Q5What happens to the Customs Duty charged with the replacement item?
AWe will bear the Customs Duty of the replacement items at the time of shipping if the replacement arose with our flaws.

About Products

Q1Does Shizendo offer samples?
AIf you need to try out the actual product, please purchase the minimum quantity of the product (eg. 0.1g/ 1 piece).
Q2Can I request to change the standards of the products (Ex. net contents or sizes)?
A We may be able to change the standards as you request. Please contact us when you order.
*The size of metallic leaves cannot be changed.
Q3The arrived metallic leaves are severely torn apart.
A Please take the photos of damaged parts and contact us through the Return Inquiry Form. Please be notified that metallic leaves are very fragile. We will have to consider if the damages to yours are subject to the replacement. As soon as we regard it is, we will send you the replacement.

Q4What are the differences between edible platinum/silver leaves and platinum/silver leaves for crafts?
A The components of edible platinum and silver leaves are the same as for-crafts leaves, however, the edible ones have gone through the hygiene and contaminant checking process.
Q5What are the differences between edible gold leaves and gold leaves for crafts?
A The components of the edible and for-crafts gold leaves are both 24K, 99.99% of gold, however, the edible ones have gone through the hygiene and contaminant checking process.
Q6Does Shizendo have framed leaves other than 22.66K?
